Eric Fehr is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in system administration, particularly in Linux and Unix environments. Currently serving as a Senior Linux Systems Administrator at The University of Queensland since June 2023, Eric has held key roles in various organizations, including Senior Unix Administrator positions at Hitachi Energy and ABB’s Enterprise Software Product Group, as well as Principal Systems Administrator at the Australian Energy Market Operator. Eric’s expertise encompasses full lifecycle system administration, including system build, audit, patching, and troubleshooting across diverse cloud and on-premise infrastructures. An educational foundation in Computer Engineering Technology from NAIT complements Eric's practical knowledge, which spans back to 1995, encompassing roles in reputable companies such as Nokia and Sega.com, where Eric focused on high-availability systems and internet infrastructure services in the APAC region.
