Christine McNess is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in IT governance, legal practice, and procurement. Currently serving as the Director of IT Governance and Investment at The University of Queensland since March 2017, Christine leads the IT Governance and Investment team, providing vital support to UQ's IT governance structures and managing corporate services for the CIO. Previous roles at The University of Queensland include Associate Director of IT Governance, Category Manager for IT, and University In-House Lawyer, demonstrating a strong foundation in ICT procurement and legal advisory. Prior to returning to The University of Queensland, Christine worked as a Senior Associate at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, specializing in information and communications technology procurement and intellectual property. With a solid educational background, including a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Australian National University, Christine possesses a unique blend of legal and technical expertise.
