Michelle Meier-Johnson has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and business development. Their most recent role was as the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Enrichment Programming at The University Club of Milwaukee. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Digital Marketing at Trusted Media Brands, Inc., where they directed the marketing of digital/non-published consumer products and developed integrated marketing strategies. Michelle also served as the Marketing and Business Development Lead at Schenck SC and worked as the Marketing Director at Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp, S.C., where they oversaw marketing strategy development and execution for B2C and B2B. In 2007, they founded their own company, Independent Marketing & PR CO., where they worked directly with company leadership to develop marketing and PR plans for various organizations. Earlier in their career, they held the position of General Manager at Hartland Inn and served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at SOS Engineering. Michelle started their career as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the Providence Health System, Los Angeles Service Area.
Michelle Meier-Johnson obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from California State University, Northridge. In addition to their degree, they have obtained two certifications: a Sports Marketing Certification from Northwestern University in January 2023 and a Digital Marketing Certification from HubSpot in September 2022.
