Jo Stafford serves as the Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Marketing and Communications at The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University, since December 2012. As a member of the senior leadership team, Jo is responsible for marketing, communications, strategy development, change management, and programme management. Key achievements include collaborating on The Union's 2022-25 strategic framework, leading comprehensive plans for its execution, and creating a Management Development Forum for middle managers. Prior experience includes roles at the British Council as Marketing Manager and Communications Coordinator, along with a twelve-month career break for travel in Asia and South America. Jo holds an MBA from The Manchester Metropolitan University and various qualifications in marketing and public relations.
