Mohan Sundararaj is a Senior Director of International Strategy at The Trevor Project. Mohan has also worked as a Director of Public Health Programs at MPact Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights, a Consultant at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and a Public Policy Fellow at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
Sundararaj graduated from Sri Ramachandra University Medical Centre in 2006 and completed their residency in 2007. Mohan then went on to work as a Physician at Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. In 2009, they joined amfAR as a Public Policy Fellow before moving to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation the following year. In 2010, they joined MPact Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights as Director of Public Health Programs, a position they held until 2021. Mohan then joined The Trevor Project as Senior Director of International Strategy.
Mohan Sundararaj received their MPH in Healthcare Policy and Management from Harvard University. Mohan is also a Catherine B. Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship from Harvard Kennedy School. Additionally, they have a BMus summa cum laude in Music Therapy & Piano Performance from Berklee College of Music as well as an MBBS (MD equivalent) from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute. Their high school diploma is from St. Michael's Academy and they have an ATCL in Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College London as well as a Perf. Cert. in Performer's Certificate in Piano Performance from Trinity College London.
They are on a team with Megan Stowe - Head of Content, Molly Eagan - Interim Chief Clinical Operations Officer, and Carrie Davis - Chief Community Officer. Their manager is Amit Paley, CEO & Executive Director.
