Candace Anderson, MA, BA, currently serves as the Director of People and Operations at The Trace since August 2022. Prior to this role, Candace held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Candace's Professional Writing Company from July 2017 to August 2024. Candace's experience includes serving as the Director of Human Resources, Diversity, Inclusion & Culture at Depaul USA from March 2016 to August 2022, and as Operations Manager for the Catholic Home Care department at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago from September 2011 to July 2015. Candace has also created a nonprofit curriculum for childhood obesity through Running for Your Life, and has contributed to program development at the Chicago Area Project. Earlier career experience includes managing grants at the Chicago Foundation for Women. Education includes a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and dual Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University.
