Tyler Ries has a diverse work experience in the field of broadcast engineering and production. Tyler started their career as an EIC and maintenance engineer for the production truck and production stages at KCETLink from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as an assistant broadcast engineer at HRTV from 2009 to 2011. Tyler also gained experience as a technical coordinator at Ithaca College Television, where they provided technical guidance and training to staff members. In addition, they worked as a broadcast intern at KCET and as a specialized utility at Sportvision. Tyler's earlier experience includes working in the technology department at Lake Forest High School and serving as EIC for LFTV Sports and Mobile Unit at Lake Forest Cable Television. Currently, they are the Director of Production Engineering at The Switch, overseeing technical aspects and maintenance of production stages and control rooms.

Tyler Ries attended Ithaca College from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Television.
