Kimberly E. Averett, MSW, LCSW, has over a decade of experience in social work, specializing in behavioral health and palliative care. Currently serving as a Behavioral Health Consultant and Palliative Care Social Worker at The Southeast Permanente Medical Group since April 2017, Kimberly also leads the Inpatient Palliative Care team. Additionally, Kimberly contributes to the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation as a Leadership Council Member and mentors social work students at The University of Georgia. Previous roles include Medical Social Worker at Gentiva Hospice and Caregiver Support Group Facilitator at both Manor On The Square and Benton House of Johns Creek. Kimberly's academic background includes a Master of Social Work with a focus on Gerontology and Healthcare from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Georgia.
