Mike Strayer has a diverse work experience in the field of medical research. Mike is currently working at The Scienomics Group as an Associate Medical Director since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Assistant Medical Director from July 2021 to June 2022 and Medical Associate from March 2020 to June 2021.
Before joining The Scienomics Group, Mike worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Sleep, Health, & Society Lab at Penn State University from August 2014 to August 2019. Mike'sresearch focused on the neurobehavioral effects of chronic sleep loss and the brain mechanisms underlying appetite, emotional face perception, reward processing, and impulse control.
Additionally, Mike served as a Course Instructor at the Sleep, Health, & Society Lab from August 2018 to May 2019. Mike also has experience as a Research Assistant at Miami University from 2012 to 2014 and as a Research Fellow at Summa's Akron City Hospital in 2012.
Mike Strayer began their education journey in 2010 at Miami University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and added a minor in Neuroscience. Mike successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2014. Mike's thirst for knowledge and passion for neuroscience led him to pursue further education at Penn State University. From 2014 to 2019, they dedicated himself to their studies and graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience.
