Heiner Linke

Committee For The Nobel Prize In Chemistry at The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences

Heiner Linke is a Professor of Nanophysics at Lund University, where since June 2009, leadership of a research group focuses on energy conversion in nanoscale systems. As Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, responsibilities include overseeing research and infrastructure for 10,000 students and approximately 3,000 staff. Heiner Linke also chairs the SRA Kollegium, managing twelve Strategic Research Areas that enhance research funding and outputs. A faculty member and director of NanoLund, Heiner Linke has significantly increased the number of PhD students and postdocs while creating a collaborative research environment. Heiner Linke's involvement extends beyond Lund University, participating in prestigious committees such as the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and various international scientific boards. Educational background includes a Dipl. Phys. from the Technical University of Munich and a PhD in Semiconductor Physics from Lund University.
