Samuel Dettmann is an experienced policy professional, currently serving as a Senior Policy Officer at The Royal Australasian College of Physicians since October 2016. In addition to this role, Samuel has been the Director and corporate secretary at a private philanthropic organization since January 1997, and previously worked as a Policy Advisor at Osteopathy Australia from April 2013 to October 2016. A skilled speechwriter, Samuel provided services to private clients in government and public affairs from March 2011 to April 2013. Prior to these roles, Samuel advised the NSW Government as a Policy Advisor from 2006 to 2011, including service as an advisor to a former premier. Samuel's educational background includes an incomplete Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Sydney Law School at the University of Sydney, a Master's degree in Political Science from Boston College, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Middlebury College.
