Tara Oakman is a seasoned public health professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at The Rippel Foundation since March 2024, where responsibilities include developing strategic partnerships to advance the foundation's mission. Previously, Oakman held the position of Director of Health Equity and Reform at The Century Foundation from April 2023 to March 2024 and has extensive experience at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, serving in various roles including Interim Managing Director, Deputy Director, and Program Officer from June 2013 to April 2023. Additional experience includes directing the Quality Team at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and working as a Program Analyst at the Department of Health and Human Services. Oakman's career began as a Presidential Management Fellow within the Department of Health and Human Services. Educational credentials include a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University, a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Brown University.
