Nicole Bassett began their career in 2005 as the Social Responsibility Manager at Patagonia, where they built the company's social responsibility program and integrated it into operations and quality systems. Nicole was also part of the core team that launched the Footprint Chronicles, a supply chain transparency website. In 2009, Bassett became the Director of Sustainability at prAna Living, where they set the company's sustainability strategy and managed its implementation. In 2011, Bassett took on the role of Director of Education and Communications at the Sustainable Food Trade Association, and also became a TE Ambassador at Textile Exchange, where they lead furthering education workshops and conference sessions specific for the textile industry. In 2015, Bassett co-founded The Renewal Workshop, where they imagined a world where resources are used wisely and clothing is continuously remade. In 2022, Bassett became the Circularity Lead at Bleckmann, a company that specializes in Supply Chain Logistics, Warehousing and Fulfillment. Nicole also became a Partner at Cascade Circular.
Nicole Bassett obtained their Masters of Environmental Studies from York University in 2006, with a focus on Sustainability and Business. Nicole previously obtained their BA from Simon Fraser University between 1995 and 2000, with a focus on Women's Studies and Film.
