Natalie Mikels is a Design Engineer at The Reinforced Earth Company, beginning in January 2023. Previously, Natalie served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Idaho, where instruction focused on the Properties of Construction Materials course and various material tests from August 2021 to December 2022. Additionally, Natalie was a Research Assistant, developing machine learning techniques for predicting pavement performance. Internship experience includes a Testing and Field Support Intern position at Idaho Asphalt Supply in 2021, where binder and aggregate testing was conducted, and a Sustainability Intern role at Huber Engineered Materials in 2019, involving environmental product assessments and compliance research. Natalie holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University.
