Wamiq Ahmed is an experienced professional in machine learning and data science, currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning at The RealReal since 2022. Wamiq is also the Founder of Classicon Technologies, which specializes in content categorization products for online advertising since 2015. Previously, Wamiq held roles including Director of Data Science at vidIQ (2021-2022) and Director of Data Science at TheLadders (2014-2015), where management of data science teams focused on developing recommender systems. Wamiq was Chief Scientist at Visible Measures from 2011 to 2014, leading innovations in ad-serving technology. Earlier, Wamiq worked as an Image Processing Scientist at American Science & Engineering, Inc., and as a Staff Scientist at Purdue University. Wamiq earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University (2004-2007) and a Certificate in Applied Project Management from Boston University Corporate Education Center in 2010.
