Joe N. Ballard is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Ravens Group, Inc., a successful business services corporation catering to both Federal Government and private sector clients since August 2003. Prior to this, Ballard served in the United States Army, with notable positions including the 49th Chief of Engineers and Commander of the United States Army Corps of Engineers from 1996 to 2000, appointed by President William Clinton. Additionally, Ballard was the Chief of Staff for the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) from July 1995 to August 1996, overseeing operations for numerous major training bases. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern University and A&M College.
