Samuel Claes has worked in a variety of roles across several companies. In 2003, they began working at Cargill as an Assistant Oil Purchasing Manager, and also started working at Gabriel Meffre Winery as an Export Manager. In 2007, they joined Kemin Industries as an Account Manager, where they managed strategic industrial key accounts in Benelux, France, Germany and Italy, and coordinated various members of production, marketing and R&D to ensure successful implementation of the customer projects. In 2009, they returned to Cargill, where they held various roles including Technical Sales Team Leader, Specialized Nutrition Category Leader, Strategic Account Manager, and Key Account Manager. In 2022, they began working at The Protein Brewery as Commercial Director.
Samuel Claes obtained a Bio-engineer in Chemistry degree from Ghent University in 1997-2001, followed by a Master in Management from L'Institut Agro Montpellier in 2001-2002. Samuel then studied Bio-engineering at Universidad de Murcia from 1999-2000. In 2012-2014, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) from Vlerick Business School. In 2021, they obtained the Core Catalyst Certification Program from Sparkademy.
