Mark Johnson has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the event management and technology industries. Mark is currently the Chief Operations Officer at The Production Network, a position they have held since January 2023. Previously, from June 2022 to January 2023, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the same company.
Prior to their current role, Mark was the Chief Executive Officer at eventcore from January 2018 to June 2022. During their tenure, they successfully finalized a $4.1 million growth capital financing initiative and led efforts to expand the company's marketing and sales capacity on a national level. The company was later acquired by Stova.
Before their time at eventcore, Mark served as a Partner and COO at the same company from April 2015 to December 2017.
From 2010 to 2014, Mark was the President and Partner at SHW, a meeting and event services agency. Under their leadership, the company experienced significant growth, with a 41% increase in revenue and a 48.5% increase in gross profits.
Prior to their roles in the event management industry, Mark co-founded Wellstream Events, Inc. in 2002 and served as its COO until January 2010. Mark also founded and served as the President of Wellstream Technologies Corporation from 1998 to 2002.
Earlier in their career, Mark held positions at Lawson Software as a Healthcare Services Manager from 1996 to 1998, and at GE Healthcare as a Client Services Manager from 1993 to 1996.
Mark Johnson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Olaf College in the years 1986 to 1990. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University between 1991 and 1993.
