Madison White

Environmental Compliance Specialist at The Port of Virginia

Madison White has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. In 2011, they started their career as a Soccer Coach for Norfolk United Soccer Club and continued until 2016. Madison then worked as a Tower Guide at First Flight Adventure Park in 2017 and 2018. During their time at William & Mary in 2018 and 2019, they served as a Wellness Ambassador and also interned remotely at ForestNation. In 2019, they worked as an Intern at Campus Sustentabilidade at the University of A Coruna. From 2020 to 2021, Madison worked as an Environmental Technician at Pollard Environmental LLC before joining the City of Norfolk, VA as an Environmental Specialist II from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are employed as an Environmental Compliance Specialist at The Port of Virginia, starting in September 2022.

Madison White earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science & Policy and Hispanic Studies from William & Mary between 2016 and 2019. Currently, Madison is pursuing a Master's degree in Sustainability Studies at Texas Tech University starting in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as CBLP Level I from the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Certification and VA DEQ ESC Inspector and VA DEQ SWM Inspector from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
