April Powell has worked in various roles since 2009. In 2009, they completed a Personnel Committee Graduate Internship at Nacogdoches County Texas, where they integrated a Pay Grade Structure for County employees, collected data, updated and compiled qualitative and quantitative facts into spreadsheets, and created formulas and extracted charts for statistical analysis. In 2012, April worked as an Event Staff Manager and Promotions Manager at 13th Floor Haunted House, and as a Senior Account Executive at San Antonio Missions Baseball, where they solicited sales for season ticket holders, company and group outings, corporate sponsorships, suite & hospitality packages, and executed non-profit organization requests. In 2013, April worked as a Marketing Manager and Coordinator at San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS), where they were a direct report to the CMO and managed a 12-person team including designers. April also assisted in the development of annual corporate sales and promotions with design, timeline, advertising elements and program components, and initiated corporate sponsorships and fulfillment. In 2015, April worked as a Contractor - Marketing & Outreach Coordinator/Healthcare Analyst for U.S. Army Medicine at Cherokee Nation Businesses. In 2017, they worked as a Director of Marketing at Keith Zars Pools. Since 2018, April has been a Senior Project Manager at The PM Group, a full service Advertising Agency specializing in business growth.

April Powell obtained a High School Diploma from Lakeview Centennial High School in 2004. April then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2008. Finally, they obtained a Master in Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2010.
