Krystal Barnes, CPA, currently serves as the Controller at The Place for Children with Autism since April 2023. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting at R1 RCM from August 2014 to April 2023, where responsibilities encompassed preparing monthly reconciliations, managing the close process, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, and assisting with audits and restatements. Krystal also worked at Ernst & Young as an Experienced Assurance Associate, where auditing financial services companies and mentoring junior staff were key functions. Earlier roles include positions at The National Bank & Trust Company, Ernst & Young as a Busy Season Assurance Intern, and DeKalb MRI Imaging Institute. Krystal holds a Leadership Masters of Accounting Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Northern Illinois University, along with an Associate's Degree from Kishwaukee College.
