Dave Gershman is an experienced professional in international fisheries conservation, currently serving as an Officer at The Ocean Foundation since 2019. Prior to this role, Dave held various positions at The Pew Charitable Trusts from 2014 to 2019, focusing on international fisheries and global tuna conservation. With a background as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State's Office of Marine Conservation and experience in media relations for the National Wildlife Federation, Dave has effectively communicated critical environmental issues. Earlier career roles include working as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, an External Evaluator for NOAA, and reporting positions at Ann Arbor News, The Salem News, and The Needham Times. Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brandeis University and a Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environment with a specialization in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan.
