Anouk Klapwijk is an experienced program manager currently working at The Ocean Cleanup since January 2023, focusing on innovative technologies to reduce ocean plastic pollution. Prior roles include project manager at the Port of Rotterdam from September 2019 to January 2022, where Anouk managed various multi-year projects, and technical trainee at Gemeente Rotterdam, handling projects related to climate adaptation and sustainable development. Anouk also served as a research assistant at Technische Universiteit Delft, contributing to the EU-funded project "Cities of Making," and has experience as a kitesurf instructor. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Urbanism from Delft University of Technology, a minor in Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Sciences from Delft University of Technology.
