Stephen Gruppo is an experienced finance professional currently serving as an Independent Member of the US Risk Committee at Norinchukin Bank since June 2020 and as the Founder and Managing Member of OysterPond, LLC since May 2019. Prior to these roles, Gruppo held senior positions at TIAA, including Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, where a significant transformation into a diversified financial institution was achieved. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse First Boston, Kidder, Peabody & Co., and Chase, focusing on credit risk management and market risk oversight. Gruppo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
