Elizabeth Yang-Hellewell serves as the Executive Director and CEO of The New Children's Museum, a position held since January 2022. Previously, from September 2013 to December 2021, Elizabeth was the Chief Advancement Officer at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, where responsibilities included driving the strategic development of revenue structures for a new campus in La Jolla and leading fundraising efforts for a $105 million capital campaign. Prior roles at the same museum included Director of Advancement and Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer, focusing on enhancing fundraising success. Before that, Elizabeth worked at the University of California San Diego as Director of Alumni Affairs and Program & Audience Development Manager for ArtPower!, and served as a Cannon Gallery Consultant for the City of Carlsbad. Elizabeth holds an MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Art History from Smith College.
