James F. is an accomplished maritime professional with extensive experience in various roles since May 2006, currently serving as a Seafarer - Master Mariner and former Ice class Navigator for Merchant Navy. James F. has been actively involved with the United Nations' Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea since May 2024 as a member of the writing team for the "Third World Ocean Assessment." Additional contributions to the maritime sector include membership on the Board of Industry Experts at Maritime Fairtrade and various leadership roles within The Nautical Institute, including Fellow and Council Member. James F. contributes to the Royal Institute of Navigation through committee memberships and holds multiple academic qualifications, including an MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Middlesex University and a Master Mariner certification from New Zealand Maritime School.
