Manuel Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Manuel is currently working as the Northern New Mexico Program Manager at the National Forest Foundation since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Physical Scientist at the National Park Service from March 2021 to February 2023.

Manuel also has experience with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) where they served as a Biological Science Technician from May 2018 to March 2021. Manuel also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at USGS from May 2017 to May 2018.

Before joining USGS, Manuel owned and operated their own business, Lopez Tiling, from May 2010 to March 2021. Manuel also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at New Mexico State University from August 2015 to May 2017.

At REI, they also provided ski and bicycle equipment repair and maintenance services, and taught introductory courses on outdoor industry subjects.

Manuel Lopez holds a Master's Degree in Geography, which they obtained from New Mexico State University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography at California State University, Chico, from 2004 to 2009. Manuel has also attended multiple ESRI User Conferences, although no specific degrees or fields of study are mentioned for these conferences.
