Milpha Thomas Blamo, MNM has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2001, they worked at U.S. Bank as a Personal Banker III. They then transitioned into the education sector, where they held the roles of Business Manager at Partnership Academy from 2005 to 2007 and Director of Finance & Development from 2007 to 2011. In 2012, they served as the Interim Director of Finance and Operations at Brightwater Montessori Elementary & Preschool. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Human Resources Director at The Link Minnesota, focusing on recruitment, compensation analysis, benefits planning, and diversity initiatives.

In 2019, Milpha joined The Minneapolis Foundation as the Director, Talent and Culture, providing leadership and programming to foster a collaborative and inclusive culture. They were later promoted to Vice President of Talent and Culture, where they developed and executed strategies for talent management, learning and development, and HR systems.

In addition to their work at The Minneapolis Foundation, Milpha has also been an Adjunct Faculty at St. Catherine University since 2021, teaching relevant subjects. They are an Official Member of the Forbes Human Resources Council, recognized for their depth and diversity of experience in the field.

Starting in 2022, Milpha became a Member at Chief, an organization that provides executive coaching and networking opportunities.

Milpha Thomas Blamo, MNM has an extensive education history in the field of leadership and nonprofit management. From 2018 to 2024, Milpha attended Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, where they pursued a Doctor of Education - EdD degree with a focus on Leadership. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2018, they earned a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University.

Before pursuing their advanced degrees, Milpha obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota. In 2007, they completed the Mini MBA for Nonprofit Organizations program at the University of St. Thomas, which focuses on Executive Education.

In addition to their formal education, Milpha has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they completed the Women of Color Leadership Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education. In 2022, they completed the Education (Doctorate) program at CITI Program. In 2020, they obtained the WSQ-Discovery Certified Facilitator certification from CareProfiler. In 2008, they completed the HR Generalist Course offered by SHRM. Finally, in 2009, Milpha obtained the Notary Public certification from the Office of Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon.
