Meghan Kathleen Root has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Meghan Kathleen currently serves as the Director of the Force Resilience Office at Defense Health Agency, where they are responsible for creating a safe and fulfilling working environment for employees. Their oversight includes programs related to sexual violence prevention and response, military equal opportunity, diversity, equity and inclusion, anti-harassment, and anti-extremism.

Prior to their current role, Meghan worked in various positions within the United States Air Force. Meghan Kathleen served as the SAPR Program Development Specialist and conducted research on family and workplace violence. Meghan Kathleen also held the role of SARC (Sexual Assault Response Coordinator) and was responsible for managing the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program. Additionally, they served as the Education and Training Manager for Interpersonal and Self-directed Violence Prevention.

Before their time in the Air Force, Meghan worked as a Sexual Assault and Wellness Advocate and Adjunct Faculty Member at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Meghan Kathleen also worked as a Clinical Supervisor at Project REACH in Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, and as a residential counselor at MAB. Meghan Kathleen began their career as an Adjustment Counselor at Sotughton Middle School.

Meghan Kathleen Root has gained significant experience and expertise in areas related to interpersonal violence prevention and response, wellness advocacy, and counseling throughout their professional journey.

Meghan Kathleen Root earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. John Fisher University in the years 2000 to 2004. Meghan Kathleen then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University from 2004 to 2007. Finally, they attended Widener University from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Education degree with a focus on Human Sexuality.
