Charles Tantillo is an experienced facilities management professional with a strong background in engineering systems. Currently serving as the Manager for Engineering Systems at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since July 2013, Charles is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the museum's physical plant, focusing on HVAC equipment and Building Management Systems. Prior to this role, Charles was the Director of Facility Operations at The Newark Museum, overseeing all daily operations and maintenance for New Jersey's largest museum. Previous experience includes Director of Facilities Operations at the American Museum of Natural History and Chief Engineer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where Charles managed extensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing functions across large facilities. Charles holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine (Mechanical) Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.
