Katie Thompson

Research Scientist at The Metis Foundation

Katie Thompson, PhD, is a dedicated research psychologist currently serving as a Research Scientist at The Metis Foundation and as a Research Assistant Professor at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University. With a strong foundation in clinical psychology, demonstrated through a clinical residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, Katie has conducted extensive research on eating behaviors and maternal health during the postpartum period as a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation. Previous roles include Graduate Student Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Katie managed various research duties, and an Intramural Research Training Award Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, coordinating a major clinical trial. Katie holds a PhD and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The George Washington University.
