Erik Couture is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy advising, cybersecurity consulting, and human rights advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at Public Safety Canada, Erik supports the implementation of Canada's anti-forced and child labour law. As the Director of Seafox Consulting Inc., Erik provides expert cybersecurity consulting while also engaging in pro-bono initiatives for charities and NGOs. Additional roles include Technical Advisor for The Mekong Club, where Erik collaborates with the private sector to combat modern slavery, and Working Group Member at Direct Worker Voice, focusing on human rights due diligence standards. Erik founded Due Dignity, a non-profit aiding Canadian businesses in complying with human rights regulations through AI technology, and has academic qualifications that include a Master of Arts in Human Trafficking and a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering.
