Ipsit Vahia, MD, is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Medical Director at McLean Hospital, roles held since February 2016. Previously, Vahia served as the Director of Research and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UCSD Senior Behavioral Health from July 2011 to February 2016, and held a faculty position at the Stein Institute for Research on Aging at UCSD from 2007 to February 2016. Vahia completed a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at UC San Diego in 2013, and earned an M.D. in Psychiatry with a focus on Geriatric Psychiatry from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 2007, following an MBBS from Grant Medical College & Sir JJ Group Of Hospitals in Mumbai in 2002.
