Amanda Shields is an accomplished photographer with extensive experience in various roles across different organizations. Since February 2020, Amanda has been the Events and Marketing Photographer at The Mariners' Museum and Park, focusing on storytelling through photography of events, programs, and museum artifacts. Prior to this, Amanda served as a photographer for Chenega Corporation, capturing military events and official portraits, and worked at Morale, Welfare & Recreation at Norfolk Naval Station, documenting numerous military and recreational events. As the owner of Shields Photography, Amanda specialized in personal brand portraits for small businesses. Additional background includes roles as a paraeducator at Naples American High School, a photographer apprentice at American Photography di Napoli, and various medical assistant positions in healthcare settings. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and a minor in Art History from Arizona State University, and an Associate of Arts in Photography and Print Media from Tidewater Community College.
