Ken Hopper has a diverse work experience in both government and nonprofit sectors. Paul K "Ken" served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Tun Tavern Legacy Foundation starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the National President of The Marine Corps Reserve Association, where they focused on advocating for members of the Marine Corps Reserve and their families.
In the government sector, Ken held various positions at the Department of Health and Human Services. Paul K "Ken" served as a Senior Planner, responsible for developing and implementing national strategic operational plans. Paul K "Ken" also played a key role in coordinating patient movement operations during crisis events and national disasters. Additionally, they served as the Deputy Director and later the Patient Movement Branch Chief at the Secretary's Operations Center, where they coordinated the federal government's emergency response efforts.
Before joining the Department of Health and Human Services, Ken worked as the Program Manager and Deputy Director at TAIC, where they managed a multi-million dollar contract supporting operational divisions within the Department of Health and Human Services. Paul K "Ken" also served in the United States Marine Corps, where they held various leadership roles, including Chief of the Strategic Planning Branch and Chief of the Crisis Action Team.

Paul K "Ken" Hopper has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from The Citadel, which they earned between 1975 and 1979. Paul K "Ken" also has a Master's Degree in Management from Troy University, obtained from 1989 to 1991. In 2006 and 2007, they pursued Military Strategic Studies at the U.S. Naval War College. From 2011 to 2014, they earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University - Schar School of Policy and Government. Additionally, in 2014 and 2015, they participated in the Excellence in Government Program at the Partnership for Public Service.
