Malaya Ranjan Patra is an experienced AI Research Scientist at The MAMA AI, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in drug discovery since August 2022. Prior to this role, Malaya served as a Research Associate in Computational Chemistry at Aurigene Discovery Technologies, where scientific programming and computational drug discovery were key responsibilities. A brief internship as a Deep Learning Research Intern at Boltzmann involved software improvements and bug reporting. Academic background includes a Master of Science in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, completed in 2021, and a Postgraduate qualification in Product Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, undertaken from February 2023 to October 2023. Additionally, Malaya contributed to in-silico design projects targeting DNA polymerase IV of E. coli during the tenure at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
