Liberty Carroll has a diverse work experience in the scientific and medical writing field. Liberty currently holds the position of Senior Scientific Director at Lockwood since July 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Scientific Director at Lockwood from January 2021 to July 2023. Liberty has also served as a Senior Associate Scientific Director at Lockwood from March 2019 to January 2021. Before joining Lockwood, Liberty worked at Alligent Group (Part of Envision Pharma Group) as an Associate Scientific Director from February 2018 to March 2019 and as a Medical Writer from September 2016 to February 2018. Liberty gained experience as a Medical Writer at DAVA Oncology from October 2015 to August 2016. Liberty has also worked as an Editor at AJE - American Journal Experts from 2010 to 2016. Liberty'steaching experience includes a role as a Lecturer at the University of South Florida in 2012 and as a Lecturer at UNC Pembroke from 2008 to 2011, where they taught various biology courses.

Liberty Carroll completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida from 1996 to 1999. Liberty then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell Biology from Duke University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008.
