Georgia Gleason

Vp, Group Scientific Director at Lockwood

Georgia Gleason, PhD has extensive work experience in the scientific and medical field. They currently hold the position of VP, Group Scientific Director at Lockwood since January 2022. Prior to this, they were Senior Scientific Director and Team Lead at Lockwood from August 2021 to January 2022. Before joining Lockwood, Georgia worked at HLX as VP, Medical and Scientific Affairs from March 2021 to August 2021.

Georgia's work history also includes several roles at Lockwood, starting in 2013. They served as Senior Scientific Director from January 2019 to March 2021, Scientific Director from January 2016 to January 2019, Senior Associate Scientific Director from January 2015 to January 2016, and Associate Scientific Director from October 2013 to January 2015.

Earlier in their career, Georgia worked as a Medical Writer at Hobart Forte from November 2011 to October 2013, Medicus International from January 2011 to September 2011, and as a Freelance Medical Writer in November and December 2010. They also gained research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Pharmacology at Weill Cornell Medical College from February 2010 to May 2010 and as a PhD student in Neuroscience from September 2003 to January 2010.

Georgia Gleason, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Neuroscience at Brandeis University from 1999 to 2003. Following that, they pursued further education at Cornell University, where they received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neurosciences between 2003 and 2009. Simultaneously, they also attended the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where they obtained their PhD in Neuroscience from 2003 to 2010.
