Scott Nicholas has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Scott began their career as a Summer Associate at Foley & Lardner LLP in 1994. From there, they worked as an Associate at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP and Dorsey & Whitney LLP before joining Piper Jaffray as an Analyst in 2000. In 2004, they became a Senior Analyst at Minot Capital and later held the position of Vice President, Senior Analyst at RiverSource Investments LLC from 2005 to 2007. Scott then served as the Director of Research at LightKeeper Investments from 2007 to 2010. Scott joined North Bay Capital Management, L.P. as a Senior Analyst in 2010 and worked there until 2013. In 2014, they transitioned to the legal field, working as an Attorney at The Nicholas Law Office until 2015. Since then, they have been associated with The Linux Foundation, initially as the Sr. Director of Strategic Programs and currently as the Vice President of Project Formation, responsible for launching and supporting open source software, open data, and standards projects across various technology domains.
