Hilda Okafor has a diverse range of work experience in the field of UX design. Hilda started their career as a Business Operations and Marketing intern at Bright Network in July 2020. From August to December 2020, they were a Member at Millennium Campus Network (MCN). In October 2020, they became a Students and Young Professionals Mentee at Global Health Mentorships.
In March 2021, Hilda worked as a UI/UX Designer at Zuri Team, Inc. and completed their role in July 2021. Following this, they joined Àšà Design as a Product Design Trainee from April to July 2021. During their time at Àšà Design, Hilda contributed as a UX Researcher, Visual Designer, and Interaction Designer in the development of an app aimed at addressing financial gender inequality among female SME startups. Hilda conducted user research, analyzed research outcomes, and curated various design deliverables.
From May 2021 to November 2022, Hilda worked as a Product Design Fellow at Tech4Dev, where they gained valuable experience in product design. Hilda then joined CyberME Studio in September 2022 as a User Experience Designer. At CyberME Studio, Hilda redesigned and prototyped the Source Code Analysis (SCA) and Extended Detection Response (XDR) web dashboard, comprising approximately 170 screens. Hilda also created atomic design and molecules components for the product design system and documented design sitemaps and work processes.
Currently, Hilda is a UX Designer Mentee at The Linux Foundation, starting from March 2023.
Hilda Okafor started their education journey in 2017 when they enrolled at the University of Ibadan. Hilda pursued a degree in physiotherapy and studied in this field until 2022. In 2022, they joined The Interaction Design Foundation, where they pursued a degree in Interaction Design with a focus on Design and Visual Communications. Hilda also obtained additional certifications throughout their education journey. Hilda obtained a Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation and certifications in Interaction Design: Flow and Interaction Design: Interface from LinkedIn. Hilda also completed courses in Foundation of UX Design from Coursera | Google and Product Design from ÀŞa Design. Furthermore, Hilda acquired certifications in Project Management Essentials Certified (PMEC) from the Management & Strategy Institute and Jobberman Soft-Skills Training from Jobberman Nigeria. Additionally, they expanded their skills with certifications in ClinicalAthlete's Pain Science and What You Need To Know and Business Operations and Marketing Experience from Bright Network.
