Alex Johann is a Healthcare Economist currently employed at The Lewin Group since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles at Michigan State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Course Instructor, teaching subjects such as the social science of sports and Economics of Developing Countries. Alex has also contributed as a Research Assistant within the Education Policy Innovation Collaborative, and previously at Mathematica Policy Research, focusing on quantitative research and data analysis. Alex holds a PhD and MA in Economics from Michigan State University and a BA in Mathematical Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Pomona College. Additional experience includes a brief tenure as a Product Specialist and Sales Associate at Nike.
