Sonia Boyce is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and public service. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the VI State Workforce Development Board since September 2019, Sonia also holds the position of Coordinator for the Committee on Economic Development, Agriculture & Planning within the Legislature of the Virgin Islands since March 2015. With a background in real estate as a licensed agent at Remax St. Croix since January 2015, Sonia successfully assists clients in buying, selling, and renting properties. Previously, Sonia was the Chief Policy Advisor at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor from January 2007 to December 2014 and served as an Executive Assistant, where responsibilities included risk assessment management and community outreach. Earlier career roles include Assistant Press Secretary for the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands Office of the Governor from September 2001 to January 2007. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
