Joe Boyle is a seasoned communications and media professional currently serving as the Communications Officer at The Learned Society of Wales since January 2020. With extensive experience as a Freelance Writer since 2005, Joe previously held significant roles including Lib Dem Councillor for Penylan with Cardiff County Council from May 2012 to May 2022, Senior Editor at AOL (UK) from 2001 to 2003, and Deputy Editor for Sport at Express Newspapers from 1999 to 2001. Joe's background in production includes serving as Production Editor at International Media Products and launching several sports publications. Joe also has experience as Head of Marketing at Oxford Computer Consultants and as an English Teacher at Hartlepool Sixth Form College.
