Haley Hester, MPA, is a seasoned professional currently serving as Chief of Staff for the Office of Treva Reid, Councilmember for District 7 in Oakland since January 2021, previously holding positions as Policy Director and District Representative in the same office. In addition to their role in the city government, Haley has been a Resident Manager at Lapham Company since February 2016 and served as Executive Assistant at Family Support Services from September 2016 to December 2020. Prior experience includes various roles at Target, where Haley progressed from Sr. Team Leader in Human Resources Operations to Salesfloor and Human Resources Team Member, as well as experience as an Office Assistant/Project Manager at Central Oregon Community College. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from California State University - East Bay, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Holy Names University, and an Associate of Arts from Central Oregon Community College.
