Tim Dehnel is an experienced editorial professional currently serving as the Senior Deputy Managing Editor at The Lancet since February 2014, where responsibilities include overseeing post-acceptance technical peer-review processes and managing the Senior Assistant Editor team. Prior to this role, Tim held positions such as Deputy Managing Editor and Senior Assistant Editor at The Lancet, focusing on technical editing, writing, and author relations, along with hosting the weekly Lancet News podcast. Earlier career experiences include roles as an Assistant Editor and Production Editor at The Lancet and Future Science Group, as well as IT support staff at PERA. Tim holds a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences from Durham University and has a strong educational foundation with A-levels and GCSEs from Oakham School.
