Dan Lewsley has extensive experience in operations and editorial services within the publishing industry. Currently serving as the Director of Operations and Editorial Services at The Lancet since September 2011, Dan also held the position of Head of Production. Prior to this, Dan worked at The Company of Biologists as a Project Manager, where responsibilities included launching the online journal Biology Open and exploring XML workflows. Dan's earlier tenure at Cell Press involved managing a 12-member team focused on production operations for 14 life science journals, overseeing a $1 million budget. Additionally, Dan spent over seven years at Elsevier, initially as an Editorial Support Coordinator and later as an Editorial Support Manager, contributing to strategic planning for a portfolio of 30 journal titles. Dan holds an MA in Electronic Communication and Publishing from UCL and a BA Hons in Ancient and Modern History from the University of Oxford.
