Angelo Martinez

Angelo Martinez has a diverse work experience including roles at The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC, Branches, Inc., Florida International University, Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, Inc., and AmeriCorps. Angelo'smost recent role is as Manager of Faith Based Relations at The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. Prior to that, they worked as a Swim Instructor at Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC. Angelo also served as an Assistant Program Manager at Branches, Inc. from 2015 to 2018, and worked in Parking and Transportation at Florida International University from 2014 to 2015. In 2012, they worked in Security at Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, Inc. and in 2009, they worked as a Youth Leadership member at Branches, Inc. through AmeriCorps.

Angelo Martinez's education history begins in 2013 when they enrolled at Florida International University. Angelo studied Social Work and obtained a Bachelor's degree in this field in 2015. Angelo then went on to pursue further education at Emory University, starting in 2019. Angelo completed a Master of Divinity (MDiv) program with a focus on Theology/Theological Studies in 2022.

In addition to their degrees, Angelo has obtained several certifications. In 2016, they received certifications in Basic Guidance and Discipline (BGD) and Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (CAAN) from the Florida Department of Children and Families. Furthermore, they obtained several certifications from The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County, including Homework Assistance in After-School, YEN: Ask-Listen-Encourage, YEN: Active Learning, Effective Behavior Management 101, Effective Literacy Instruction, and Literacy Assessment Training: Comprehension MAZE. Finally, in 2018, Angelo obtained certifications in Behavioral Observation and Screening (BOSR), Child Care Facility Rules and Regulations (FACR), Child Growth and Development (CGDR), and Health Safety and Nutrition (HSAN) from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
