Katie Schmuecker is an accomplished policy expert with extensive experience in public policy and development. Currently serving as the Head of Policy at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation since December 2012, Katie Schmuecker focuses on creating policy proposals aimed at alleviating poverty in the UK. Previously, from December 2004 to December 2012, Katie Schmuecker worked as the Associate Director at IPPR North, where responsibilities included public policy research, media commentary, and organizing events. Katie Schmuecker holds an MA in Regional Development from CURDS, University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and a BA in Politics from Newcastle University.
