Timothy Lippa

Branch Head And Principal Scientist - Physical And Life Systems Branch At Jhu-apl at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory

Timothy Lippa has extensive work experience in the field of physical and life systems. Timothy started their career as an Optical and Instrumentation Scientist at SESI/Mass Technologies in 1998. In 2000, they joined Corvis Corporation as a Senior Engineer. In 2003, they started working at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU-APL) as a Research and Development Scientist. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Assistant Group Supervisor and Principal Scientist, Group Supervisor and Principal Scientist, and Deputy Branch Head and Principal Scientist at JHU-APL. Currently, they hold the position of Branch Head and Principal Scientist - Physical and Life Systems Branch at JHU-APL, where they are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization and overseeing three technical research groups.

Timothy Lippa earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University between 1992 and 1998.
