Morgan Chan began their professional career in 2012 as a Copy Editor and Opinion Columnist for The State Press (ASU Student Media). In 2014, they worked as a Digital Sports Reporter and Television News Producer for Cronkite News and a Cactus League Spring Training Contributor for MLB.com. From 2015 to 2017, Morgan Chan was a Wire Editor/Page Editor at the Phoenix Design Studio for Gannett, where they used news judgment to compile priority lists and provide Associated Press & USA Today news/sports content to over 20 West coast Gannett-owned newspapers. They were also responsible for headline and photo cutline writing/editing. In 2017, Morgan Chan became a Lead Policy and Procedure Coordinator for Discover Financial Services. Most recently, in 2020, they took on the role of Content Strategist for The James Agency, where they are responsible for creative concepting and tactical wordsmithing to deliver effective brand designs to clients. They also use data analytics from across the web to provide the agency with an informed market perspective while crafting deliverables.
Morgan Chan attended Arizona State University from 2009-2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature. Morgan then attended Arizona State University - Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication from 2013-2014, where they earned a Masters of Mass Communications and Journalism (MMC) in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.
